The Polar Express

After enjoying our snack, they gathered us up to go aboard the train. The conductor punched our tickets and everything!

Eli getting his ticket punched.

Owen getting his ticket punched to board the Polar Express Train!

The Watson's going aboard!
After going aboard, we walked through the entire train to get to the first car. It was really neat seeing how the train was set up. We didn't actually go for a ride, but it was really cool!

Owen and Dada listening to the book.
Eli and Owen doing their best to listen and pay attention. :)
I had to put this picture of Eli up for my friend Morgan. She didn't think that Eli paid attention at all, but this picture clearly shows him very interested in the book! :)

Owen taking the silver bell from Santa (and NOT FREAKING OUT!!!)

One last picture of us leaving the train

Breakfast with Santa

Jill and Mason came down to join Owen and I for Breakfast with Santa at Chaney's Dairy Barn. We had a great time and had some delicious food! Check out the pictures to see how meeting the big man went down...

Story time with Farmer Carl. If you notice, Owen decided to do his own thing and run around the room. :)
Mason meeting Santa. He did pretty well!

And then....there is Owen meeting Santa, not so well! As you can see, I was pretty entertained though.
Mason decided Santa wasn't so bad after all. Here he giving him a high five. (Sorry for the blurriness, I had to include it because it was just too cute!)
With Santa Cow.

Jill and Mason

I don't know if you knew this or not, but apparently Santa cow is WAY cooler than the real Santa.

Mason cheesing! :)

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and realize what we are thankful for and Wow! Where do I even begin?! I have so much to be thankful for and I know I won't be able to express how much I am thankful through simple words, it's a feeling!
1. I am thankful for my wonderful husband. Gabe works a lot of 12 hour days and he still has the ability to come home in a good mood! It is awesome that I can still call him my best friend and we have the ability to enjoy whatever we do.
2. I am thankful for my son, the best gift I have ever been given. He is the light of my life. On any given day, he knows how to put a smile on my face. I love seeing the pure joy in his eyes through everything he does. One of my friends is constantly telling me that I have the 'perfect' child. I am going to have to agree with her! :)
3. I am thankful for my parents! Oh my goodness! I mean, really??!!! How did a girl get so lucky??? My family is my everything! They know just what to do at any moment and through any challenge! My parents have supported us in every way. I could seriously fill this whole blog up about how wonderful they are. And although I am now 27 years old, they still jump as high as they can, with arms wide open to be my parents. I just hope and pray that I can do the same with Owen.
4. My sister! I think God knew what he was doing when he brought me into my family. I can't imagine life without Jill. She is my sister, but she is my best friend! We can laugh and cry about the same thing in a matter of minutes. We can ask each other for parenting advice. She is the person I turn to vent or to celebrate with! She is one goofy lady that I love and adore!
5. Friends! I am so blessed with such awesome friends that range from a high school friend that I can go months without talking to and still leave off where we were to close family friends we get together with on a weekly basis. It is amazing!!!
6. Etc. Etc.Etc....... I am blessed with so MANY things that I could go on with forever! I thank my amazing God for what he has provided me with on a daily basis!

Thanksgiving at the Adkins'...great company and an amazing brunch!Thanksgiving at my parent's house. Owen loved the cranberry salad that my sister made, can you tell?! :)

If you look closely, you can see where the cranberry went through his shirt and stained his body. Haha.
Mason's turn on the rocking chair.

The boys
We had a wonderful day, which is a wonderful way to look back and think about all the things I have to be thankful for! Owen and I ended up staying the night at my parent's house for a tradition my Dad and I started several years ago.....day after Thanksgiving shopping!!! :)

Jackson's Orchard

For as long as I have been around Bowling Green, I have wanted to go to Jackson's Orchard. We finally made it!!! It was worth all the hype too! We went on a weekday towards the end of the season and basically had the whole place to ourselves. It was awesome! If you are around the Bowling Green area in the fall, I definitely recommend this free family fun!

Owen and I trying out The Cider Slider!
Checking out the tire yard.

This is awesome!

Look...just a few more stairs!
What were you worried about....I made it Mom!

Halloween...a bit late :)

Happy Halloween! First off, let me explain my absence in the blogging world. One of the last blog entries I wrote before going MIA was about our trip to Maryland. We went to visit with Gabe's grandfather and to introduce Owen to him. Well, exactly three weeks after introducing Owen to his great-grandfather, we were attending his funeral. In my previous blog, I talked about how special it was for us to be able to introduce Owen to his great-grandfather because a lot of people don't get this opportunity. We never knew HOW special it would turn out to be! As any of his family would tell you, Gabe's grandfather was a special man with a happy heart. He was a great story-teller and loved watching little ones run around. He was an all around family man. Although he has passed, I know Gabe will be able to keep him 'alive' through the stories he tells Owen. I know Gabe will want Owen to know the grandfather he loved and adored.

Our happy little family!
My little cheeseburger!

Owen and I went with my parents to Evansville's Boo at the Zoo. It was awesome!!! I think it might become a new tradition for us! :)
Grammy caught in the act! She sure knows how to spoil this little guy!

Owen loves Pops!

My little cheeseburger cooling down with a shake.
Owen hanging out with his best bud Elmo (Eli)!
The last few years Gabe and I have gone over to my friend Carrie's house for Halloween. She lives in town and has all kinds of trick-or-treaters. (Not to mention her awesome porch to hang out on!) This year was even more special because I no longer work with her so I love any opportunity to see her and her family!

My friend Carrie's kids and her niece and nephew.
Hanging out with Batman...he is one cool kid! :)
